Privacy Policy

Merge Pop ("the game", "we", "us") is developed by Anaround. This policy explains what information we collect when you play, why, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, contact us at anaroundofficial@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Merge Pop can be played without an account — in that case, your progress (scores, coins, unlocked levels) is stored only on your own device and we don't collect anything about you.

If you create an account, we collect:

• Username, email address, and password (your password is never stored in readable form — only a one-way cryptographic hash of it).
• Gameplay data — your scores, coins, unlocked levels, and Tournament/Multiplayer results, so your progress can sync across your devices.
• A device-generated identifier used for Multiplayer and Tournament leaderboards.
• Basic server logs (such as IP address and request timestamps), collected automatically by our hosting provider, as with any website.

How we use it

• To create and secure your account, and let you log in from any device.
• To save and sync your progress and in-game currency.
• To run Multiplayer battles and weekly Tournaments, including public leaderboards (which show your chosen display name and score — never your email or password).
• To detect and prevent cheating (for example, verifying Tournament results on our server rather than trusting your device).

Third parties we use

• Firebase Realtime Database (a Google service) — powers live Multiplayer battles and Tournament leaderboards. It stores your display name, score, and device-generated leaderboard id — never your email or password.
• Our hosting provider — stores the database described above and serves the game itself.
• Advertising — we plan to show ads from third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob) to support the game. These networks may collect device or advertising identifiers to show and measure ads, and may use them for ad personalization depending on your device's ad settings. You can usually opt out of personalized ads, or reset your advertising identifier, from your device's own settings.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

• You can play without ever creating an account.
• You can log out of your account at any time from the Account panel in-game.
• You can permanently delete your account and all data tied to it from the Account panel in-game ("Delete my account"), from the web at play.anaround.com/delete-account, or by emailing us. Public leaderboard entries you've already earned (display name + score only) may remain visible, since deleting your account doesn't reach into Firebase's public leaderboard data.
• You can request a copy of, or a correction to, your data by emailing anaroundofficial@gmail.com.

Children's privacy

Merge Pop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data security

Passwords are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes, never in plain text. Session tokens and password-reset tokens are stored hashed as well. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Merge Pop after a change means you accept the updated policy.
